DIY: Brush Tree

It's been a while since my last DIY Project right? So today's post is about DIY Brush Tree. What's a Brush Tree you say? Well Brush Tree is a thingamajig that you use to help you dry your makeup brushes vertically and off the counter. By drying you makeup brushes that way, the bristles are protected and also protect it from contamination. Here's what the Brush Tree looks like.

Well... sebetulnya lebih mirip Brush Dingklek sih dibanding Brush Tree but u know what I mean lah... Apa fungsinya? Benda ini berfungsi untuk membantu mengeringkan Makeup Brush kita setelah kita cuci dengan posisi vertikal dan menghindari kontaminasi juga. Kalau Brush Tree yang dijual di pasaran sih bentuknya seperti yang di bawah ini.

DIY: Herb Anti Acne Toner

This recipe is different because it's quite potent and if you haven't made any of the DIY Toner that I've post in this blog before then I suggest that you should make one of those first and then when your skin (and nose) have adjusted to the toner then you can make this one.

Saya kembali lagi dengan resep DIY dan kali ini resepnya adalah DIY Toner untuk kulit bermasalah! Resep kali ini agak berbeda dengan resep-resep sebelumnya karena toner ini cukup 'keras' dan kalau sebelumnya kamu belum pernah bereksperimen dengan DIY Toner saya sarankan untuk mencoba resep-resep yang sebelumnya. Setelah kulit (dan hidung) kamu sudah terbiasa baru deh kamu bisa coba resep yang satu ini.

DIY Lemon Sugar Scrub

Kalau sering mampi kesini mungkin sudah tahu kali ya kalau saya suka dengan yang namanya DIY atau Do-It-Yourself. Nah sekarang saya mau berbagi resep tentang cara membuat DIY Lemon Sugar Scrub. Apa itu Sugar Scrub? Sesuai namanya Sugar Scrub itu adalah Scrub atau lulur yang terbuat dari gula. Cara buatnya amat sangat gampang dan bahan-bahannya pun cukup mudah didapat. Kenapa saya pilih Lemon? Karena Lemon sering ada di kulkas saya dan Lemon itu memiliki bleaching properties atau mampu mencerahkan daerah yang gelap. Jadi harapannya kalau rajin luluran pakai ini daerah kulit saya yang gelap seperti siku, lutut dan bekas luka lainnya bisa lebih pudar gituuhh....

DIY: Apple Cider Vinegar, Chamomile and Lemongrass Toner for Acne Prone Skin

So my toner is almost empty and I'm thinking since it's a bother and cost more to buy a new one it's better that I go back to my usual DIY Toner that has given me such a great results before. But... Instead of making it like I use to make I wanted to add another twist on it and experience with different ingredient. So I open my cupboard and I found Apple Cider Vinegar, Green Tea and Chamomile and Lemongrass Tea. Voila!! New DIY Toner ingredients!! Now I think most people have known the benefits of green tea and I have explained about what I did with ACV in this post, so here's some of the benefits of Chamomile and Lemongrass for you.

Crochet Flower Hair Tie (Ikat Rambut Rajut)

Since I have nothing to do today I've been blog-walking since noon and now I decided to make some new posts on my blog. Today I'm gonna share a tutorial on how to make flower hair tie.

The flower is very easy and you can make it into anything you want such as rings, brooches, clothes embellishment, and many other things. But this time I choose to put it into a hair tie.

Karena saya lagi tidak ada kerjaan dan cuman blog-walking dari siang mendingan saya buat postingan baru aja kali ya? Hari ini saya mau kasi lihat cara saya mempercantik ikat rambut dengan bunga rajut.

Cara membuat bunganya juga super gampang dan gak cuman dibuat ikat rambut aja sih tapi bisa dibuat berbagai macam aksesoris cantik lainnya seperti bros, cincin, anting dll.

Here's the pattern (US version):

- I use #5 rose steel crochet hook and 3 different yarn color, but you can make it in one or two color and you can also add button as a flower center
- Make a magic circle or a loop. 6sc into the loop. Ss into first sc. Change color (*if you want). 2sc into each 6sc. Ss into first sc. Change color (*if you want). In first sc (1 hdc, 2 dc, 1 hdc). Ss into next sc. *In next sc (1 hdc, 2 dc, 1hdc). Ss into next stitch. Repeat from * until end. Fasten off and weave in ends.

I made several flower and sew it in a store bought hair band, I choose black hairband since it's discreet and versatile. Here's what it look like on the hairband.

 

Karena saya lebih nyaman dengan US terms polanya saya share dengan versi itu ya:

- Disini saya menggunakan hakpen rose no. 5 dan 3 warna benang yang berbeda, tapi kalau mau dibuat satu warna ya sah-sah aja kok.
- Buat magic circle atau loop. 6sc ke dalam lingkaran dan ss di sc yang pertama. Ganti warna kalau mau lalu 2sc ke setiap 6sc (total 12sc) dan ss di sc yang pertama. Ganti warna lagi kalau mau dan di sc yang pertama buat *1hdc, 2dc, 1hdc dan ss di sc selanjutnya*. Ulangi ** sampai habis lalu matikan benang.

This flowers also look really cute in a brooch, just glue this flower on a base and glue the brooch pin on the other side.

 

Bunga ini juga cantik loh kalau dibuat bros, bikinnya juga gampang. Tinggal melem bunga tadi ke sebuah base. Bisa dari kain felt atau seperti yang saya buat ini dari lingkaran rajut lalu tinggal dilem dan pasang pin deh.

DIY Studded Shoes and Card Wallet

Hey Y'all!!

Lately I've seen stud everywhere, there are studded bags, studded shoes, studded clothes, even studded cell phone cases!!

So rather than buy the stuff why not I made it myself!! It's cheaper and I can recycle my old stuff. I bought the studs at local craft store for about IDR 11.000 in a small plastic bag and there are a lot of sizes and shapes at a different price.

Clover Quick Yo-Yo Maker (Shamrock)

Udah lama penasaran sama yang namanya Yo-Yo Maker bisa menjajal produk ini namun sebagai pemula seharusnya saya mencoba yang lebih simpel. Jadi dengan yo-yo maker ini kalau kita mau buat bunga-bunga dari kain tidak perlu ribet hanya tinggal meletakkan kain di dalam template plastik ini, gunting sesuai dengan ukuran lalu dijahir sesuai dengan garis yang ada dalam template plastiknya. Setelah jahitan selesai tinggal dicopot dari templatenya dan tarik benangnya lalu si kain akan otomatis berubah menjadi bunga cantik.

DIY: Yoghurt and Oatmeal Mask for Acne (Masker Yoghurt dan Oatmeal untuk Jerawat)

Setelah mencoba beberapa produk pasaran yang terkadang tidak cocok di kulit saya akhirnya saya mulai beralih ke homemade remedies. Browsing sana-sini akhirnya saya mampir ke channel Youtube Bubzbeauty. Nah kata si Bubz yoghurt dan oatmeal itu bagus untuk jerawat. Saya pikir bolehlah dicoba, kalau ternyata tidak cocok minimal bisa dimakan sendiri he he he.... Tapi resepny sedikit saya modifikasi ya. Berikut resepnya....

After trying out a lot of products that's on the market and didn't have a satisfying result I recently turn into homemade remedies. So after browsing here and there I stumbel upon Bubzbeauty Youtube channel and she said that Yoghurt and Oatmeal is good for acne prone skin. I thought... Why not!! If it didn't work at least I can eat that stuff he he he.... Here's my modified recipe

Honey, Cinnamon, and Nutmeg Mask for Acne Prone Skin (Masker Madu, Kayu Manis dan Pala untuk Kulit Berjerawat)

Kali ini saya mau berbagi resep masker yang saya dapat dari YouTube. DIY Mask pertama yang saya coba adalah DIY Yoghurt and Oatmeal Mask (klik disini) dan hasilnya cukup oke jadi saya makin tertarik untuk mencoba macam-macam DIY mask lainnya. People have called this particular DIY Mask Recipe "The Burning Mask" because it gives your skin a slight burning sensation when you used it (a good one though...) and it's a go to recipe for people with acne-prone skin like me.

Waktu pulang dari mengurus SIM dan KTP awal bulan ini di rumah, si Mama lagi hobi sama aksesoris dari resin dan kayu. Selain itu beliau beli untuk membantu mbak Halimah (pengrajin aksesoris). Tadinya saya kurang berminat tapi waktu lihat ada benda bulat-bulat warna-warni kok kayaknya lucu juga kalau dibuat kalung.
